About Sandi
Sandi Thomas-Tyler, LPC
Therapist
My story:
I love kids.
I love people.
Helping is a part of who I am. To share, to care.
To guide you, your children, and your family.
I have been working with children and their families for multiple years.
Based on my own experiences I became passionate about being with parents in their pain, in their promise, and most importantly in their potential. Becoming a mentor of young mothers with young children, I began to understand the needs of all parents more fully. I have worked with the courts to assist single parents, foster, and adoptive families.
My first college classes were Early Childhood Education Studies. I continued with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies followed by a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology. I am continually adding skills to assist parents and children where they are. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor licensed through the State of Oklahoma and have been working with families and individuals of all ages for over 12 years.
I am an Infant Mental Health Specialist, trained to work with children aged 0-5 having completed the Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood (DC:0–5™). Assisting parents through the Parental Hands-On Education and Training series, the Circle of Security-Parenting Training (COS-P), and Parent Child Intervention Therapy, (PCIT) is a completion of a circle.
When life has added difficulties, I am trained in the highly effective Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). I have completed specialized training in Children of Divorce, Deportation, and Deployment. As well as having trained in assisting with Childhood Grief and Adult Grief.
I love kids- babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.
I love people- individuals, families, and couples.
I would love to be a part of your story.
