I’ve been working with kids and their families for almost 21yrs.
I consider it an honor and privilege to become part of your solution and support for your entire family unit.
I started my career with a long but rewarding tenure at OKDHS for almost 10yrs. Over that time I was able to work with families all over the state in multiple roles, while learning so much about different cultures and families traditions.
I credit those years and my great classes at SNU for preparing me to work with children and their families while steering me towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist. Utilizing a Family Systems Theory, I use play to help connect with your child and meet them at their natural way to communicate.
Helping them to understand their world and the way that it affects them is powerful and rewarding for us all.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor licensed through the State of Oklahoma and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor from the Association for Play Therapy (APT.)
While being a member of APT, this allows me to be able to work with new therapists coming into the field to help them to succeed in working with their preferred population.
My goal in therapy is to provide you with a safe place to address what is important to you. While working with you and your children we will focus on your entire family unit while addressing each persons’ individual needs.
As a team we will work together to identify your family goals as well as the best course of action to work towards achieving them.

“My approach to counseling focuses on forming a genuine relationship with clients built on trust, non-judgement, and most of all, care. My goal is to provide supportive and collaborative services with you, your family, and/or your children in order to achieve your goals therapeutically.”
A little more about me,
“I was born and raised in Mobile, AL where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of South Alabama. My internship during graduate school sparked a passion in my heart to work with children who have experienced trauma and are looking for healing. During my internship, I was fortunate to receive in-depth training in Trauma Focused-CBT. After receiving my Master’s in Counseling, I worked with at-risk youth for a year and half in schools and the juvenile detention center for substance use, traumas, and family issues. Recently my wife and I moved here to Oklahoma on a new journey and I am excited to meet you in your life’s journey!”

My therapeutic approach combines traditional counseling with the unique healing potential of collaborative storytelling. In individual sessions, we work together to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. In my RPG therapy groups, clients build confidence, process emotions, and develop real-world skills through structured, imaginative play.
Whether you’re seeking individual support or interested in joining our therapeutic gaming community, I provide a safe space to explore, heal, and grow. Together, we’ll craft new narratives of hope, resilience, and possibility.

“People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.” Maya Angelou
I graduated from SWOSU in 2021 with my bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Child Development. Upon graduation, I went straight into SWOSU’s master’s program to pursue a degree in Community Counseling with the goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. I plan to graduate in May of 2023 and will complete my course work by the end of 2023.
I knew I wanted to be counselor from a young age, specifically when I started my own journey in counseling at age 14. I was able to see the difference that my counselor made in my life, and now I want to help others with their mental health and hopefully be able to have the same impact on some of their lives as my own counselor had on mine. I would like to help people who are struggling with depression and anxiety, as well as individuals wanting to learn to set and manage boundaries in any area of their lives.
Throughout middle and high school, I saw countless of my peers, myself included, struggling to cope in a variety of situations and experiences. Perhaps the most common and prominent concern was in the overall feelings of self-worth in young girls. Because of this, I would like to help young women and girls build themselves and their self-images up and work to maintain it throughout their lifetimes.
It is never too early to begin your counseling journey. I am looking forward to continuing my education and acquiring more knowledge through my practicum and internship hours as well as finding and developing my own approach to counseling. I am so excited that I get to be a part of Oklahoma Counseling Group, not only to better prepare myself in my career, but so I can better aid those in and around my community the same way I was.

Choosing to seek counseling can be intimidating. I would be honored to partner with you on your journey. I am an LPC-Candidate with a Master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Central Oklahoma. My path to counseling began in education, where I spent over a decade as a choir teacher and accompanist in public schools. That experience helped shape my passion for helping others grow through connection, creativity, and authenticity.
I enjoy working with both teens and adults and am committed to creating an inclusive, affirming, and supportive environment, particularly for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I employ a person-centered approach, supported by mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques, focusing on what each client brings into the room.
My areas of clinical interest include anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, religious trauma, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and CNM (Consensual non-monogamy). I believe the relationship between therapist and client is central to meaningful progress, and I strive to meet each person with compassion and respect.

Stetson is looking to gain exposure to multiple types of demographics and populations for an enriching counseling internship. Some areas of interest include: depression, anxiety, PTSD and C-PTSD, existential conflicts, death and dying, family systems, and learning challenges. Stetson places an emphasis on a person-centered approach to build a strong therapeutic relationship. He desires to promote a safe space for the client to engage with processing raw and genuine experiences without judgment. Areas of treatment he would like to explore are Cognitive Behavior Therapies, Feminist Theories including socioeconomic structures, goal setting, Motivational Interviewing, career mapping, family tree exercises, and journaling. We may not be able to always change our past history and what has happened to us. Some of us may even struggle with coming to terms of our place in an unjust or an oppressive combination of systems. Stetson is here to say that we all have the power to intimately understand these vulnerable areas and grow into the best version of ourselves.
Stetson is originally from California and moved to a small town in Northwest Oklahoma when he was 12. He later completed high school and attended the University of Oklahoma with a double major in Letters – Constitutional Studies and Sociology – Criminology. Upon graduation he joined Teach For America for 1 year in San Antonio, TX focusing on grades 7-12 history and humanities at a Title I public school. After relocating back to Oklahoma City, he accepted a job with managing implementations of HR and payroll systems. In addition to his full-time job, he is concurrently enrolled at Oklahoma City University in the Applied Behavioral Studies – Professional Counseling M.Ed. program. Post graduation he plans to get licensed and offer therapeutic services in a part-time capacity.
While away from school and work, Stetson likes to spend his free time traveling to new areas, learn about cooking cuisines from a variety of cultures, and keeping up with his favorite TV series including lots of law dramas. He is a life-long learner when it comes to taking on new courses and has many curiosities to new ideas or ways of living that are foreign to him. “Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” -Desmond Tutu
I have been a teacher/coach for 16 years where I have worked with countless teenagers and their families in school and sports settings. I love getting to spend time with my family and being involved in my community and school system. I am a sports enthusiast and love all things related to athletics. I finished a Masters in School Counseling last May at SWOSU, but decided I wanted the opportunity to do counseling outside of the school, so I decided to work toward finishing my coursework to become an LPC, where I am currently in my last semester. My areas of interest include depression, anxiety/stress, and crisis intervention with small children through young adults.
The reason I want to be a counselor is because I want people to know that there is hope in their darkest times. I want to be able to help others see their life still matters and goals can still be accomplished when life is stacked against them. Every part of our story matters, not just the good things. I am overjoyed at the opportunity to work with Oklahoma Counseling Group and have the opportunity to become the best version of myself while gaining the best work experiences.
